What is a polish?

One run of your words through a hat, start to finish — the finished artifact that comes back. Corrections are not extra: every polish includes one free correction pass, so fixing a detail afterwards does not cost you a second one.

What happens when my 14-day trial ends?

Your account moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is deleted and nothing is charged — you keep every hat, and you keep 3 polishes a month. Voice recording and audio upload switch off; typing and pasting keep working.

Can I use voice on the Free plan?

No. Voice recording and audio upload are part of the trial and of Pro. On Free you type or paste your words instead, and every hat still works on them.

Are any hats locked to a paid plan?

No. Every hat in the catalog works on every plan, and so does any hat you build yourself. The plans differ on how many polishes you get and whether voice is available — never on which hats you can use.

When do my polishes reset?

On Free, on the 1st of each month (UTC). On Pro, on your billing date. Trial polishes are a single allowance of 20 across the 14 days rather than a monthly one.

Can I cancel, and what happens if I do?

Yes, any time, from Billing in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and there are no prorated refunds for partial months. Afterwards your account continues on the Free plan. Step-by-step instructions are on the Support page.
