Terms of Service

Effective date: April 2, 2026

1. Agreement

By accessing or using HatVox ("the Service"), operated by HatVox ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HatVox is a voice-to-structured-output platform. You record or upload audio, which is transcribed and transformed into role-specific written output using AI language models. The Service is available at app.hatvox.com.

3. Accounts and Authentication

You must sign in with a Google or GitHub account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with 20 polish operations. After the trial, free accounts are limited to 3 polish operations per month. Pro subscriptions ($29/month) provide 300 polish operations per month and access to voice recording.

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the subscription management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all audio you record or upload and all text output generated from your audio. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited license to process your audio and text solely for the purpose of providing the Service (transcription, transformation, and storage).

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process content that violates applicable law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Circumvent usage limits, authentication, or billing mechanisms
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with Service infrastructure

7. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers for transcription (Deepgram), AI processing (Anthropic, OpenAI), payment processing (Stripe), and authentication (Google, GitHub). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

8. Availability and Changes

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via the email associated with your account.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HatVox and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated output may contain errors and should be reviewed before use.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your stored data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
